I am in residency at Millay Colony for the month of July. During this time, I am working on translating the surveillance records of Nguyễn Thị Minh Khai from French to English, reading The Gift of Freedom: War, Debt, and Other Refugee Passages by Mimi Thi Nguyen and Treacherous Subjects by Lan Duong, and preparing a video and performance based on the material that I have uncovered. Finally, I am soaking in the history and work of Edna St. Vincent Millay, poet and feminist activist.
